Memes/links for (mostly) fighting the last war - Part 6 - Corbyn's long game

He's a remainer...

Here he is campaigning for a no vote in an EU referendum (in 2008)

Video tweeted by Farage

Jeremy Corbyn warned of 'European empire' and said EU treaty would create 'a military Frankenstein'

But he's changed (despite never changing his mind on anything in the last 40 years). Look a "jobs first brexit"

His campaign was a great success:

But he's against No Deal, right? Oh.

But hey at least he was clear during the referendum...

Labour voters in the dark about party's stance on Brexit, research says

EU referendum: Labour urges its voters not to back Brexit

EU referendum: Nearly half of Labour voters unaware of party's position

In 2023: Diane Abbot says ""in Jeremy’s heart of hearts, he’s a Brexiteer."

Three long years of Labour stopping progress in votes:

But he's working cross-party to stop brexit now...

And I'm sure they'll want a working government of nation unity behind a unity figure that can unite the opposition against the Tories. Oh.

Ah well that was the evil LibDems rejecting him!! No it was maths/reality/soft tories:

But Jo said "Jerery Corbyn is not going into Number 10 on the basis of Liberal Democrats' votes" !

Yes she was talking about the maths:

Well you could at least have tried it!

No we couldn't because what would have happened is a no-confidence vote in the government would have been passed the we would have had 2 weeks to form a GNU.

A vote would have been taken on Corbyn, he would have lost.

Labour would then have refused to have accepted anyone else. Either soft tories would have lost their nerve and backed the Tory gov (as they did in the indicative votes) or there would have been a GE and parliament prorouged and there would have been an automatic "no deal" brexit.

Has he also silenced Kier Starmer? Not heard from him lately.
